Our Success Stories
Today the Social Action Group is a very successful social enterprise. It strives for excellence in all of it's endeavours. Listed below are some of our successes to date:
| 1975 - Present | Over quarter of a million Euro raised for projects in the Third World. The S.A.G. responds to natural disasters including the Tsunami - raising €13,000 for emergency aid. It also provides over €4,000 each year to help local Missionaries in badly needed community development all over Africa, Asia and South America. |
| 1983 | Construction of Teach Iosagain, our headquarters. |
| 1984 | Creation of a laundry built out of what was originally an old cow shed. The laundry still serves the elderly people of the area. |
| 1990 | Creation of a Day Care Centre and a new extension to Teach Iosagain. |
| 1993 | Construction of 7 sheltered houses and a larger Day Care Centre. |
| 1997 | Re-development of Teach Iosagain as a modern Youth Creativity Centre, housing a playgroup, canteen, meeting room, games room and state of the art disco hall. |
| 2000 | In a project to mark the millennium, we constructed 20 more sheltered houses and a new larger Day Care Centre to meet the growing demand. The old centre was rented to the HSE to provide a centre for people with mental health problems. |
